Late 19th to early 20th century Mizpah brooch, made in 9ct rose gold. Two hearts with the banner "Mizpah" and the blessing written around the hearts. " The Lord watch between thee and me, when we are absent, one from another". Sweethearts brooch, also often given when the husband/lover was to be away at war. Brooch is hallmarked 9ct on the rear, maker's mark of W.Bros. Excellent condition - a little dirt to the rear. Measures18 mm by 33 mm (3/4 inch by 1.5/16 inch).
