Exquisite mint condition FIX pendant depicting a high relief sculpture of Rafael's cherub. FIX is a French term for heavily gold applied jewelry items. FIX pieces were made during the Art Nouveau and Art Deco Era from 1890-1920. The reason they marked the pieces FIX is because the gold was so heavily applied that unscrupulous individuals were selling these pieces as solid gold. The back of the pendant has maker's marks and also high relief sculptured flowers. This piece is in flawless condition and looks like it may never have been worn. From the top loop to the bottom of the pendant it measures 1-1/4 inches. Widest width 1 inch. Weight 2.2 grams. Guaranteed to please as are all our items. (Item #71899)
