Beautiful 20 strand coral necklace, with metal beads as a design feature. The coral is a wonderful old dark red colour, and each strand is approx. 2 mm diameter, making up a thick necklace. Length is 66 cm (26 inches). The clasp is wound thread button and loop, and the button (a brightly coloured paste glass) would not be original to the necklace. Some unravelling of the twine winding at this end also. Otherwise in excellent condition. Probably dates early 20th century.
