Good-sized 19th century brooch, domed shape with open rococo scroll design. Central area set with 5 large aquamarines. There is some decorative engraving to the leaves of the scrolls. Brooch measures 37 mm by 56 mm wide and 16 mm thick. Hollow made, so light, possibly early 19th century with slightly longer pin and C clasp. No hall marks, but tested as 9ct yellow gold. There are some minor splits to one of the scrolls (see extreme closeup photos), but nothing evident to the naked eye. There are a few small old repairs to the rear - not on the face of the brooch though. Overall, a very striking show-stopper of an antique brooch in very wearable condition. Total 9.56g.
