Large oval genuine shell cameo brooch or pin, with classical scene of horse drawn chariot with winged maiden, cherub and handmaidens on clouds. Silver frame with mille grain and rope twist detailing. Safety style catch with engageable nib to stop pin coming out of hook. Brooch measures 4 cm by 5.3 cm (about 1.1/2 inches by 2 inches). Excellent condition. Shell curves nicely, and this is reflected in the mount. Very well carved.
