Georgian Diamond & Emerald Ring Circa. 1830 British This absolutely fabulous ring dates back to the end of the Georgian era and the beginnings of the Victorian Age. The ring is foil-backed, typical of Georgian era rings. However, the design (flower motif) and setting have a more modern "look" ascribed to the Victorian period. The center diamond is an old-mine cut with an approximate weight of .35 carat. There are (10) additional old single-cuts with an approximate weight of .80 carat and (2) cushion cut diamonds with an approximate weight of .06 carat. Total diamond weight is approximately 1.21 carats. All diamonds tested with a diamond tester. In addition, there are 20 table-cut natural emeralds with an approximate weight of .40 carat. All emeralds tested with refractive index liquid. The face of the ring measures 3/4 inch in diameter. Due to the detail on the shank, the ring can only be sized down without damage. Size 6 1/2 4.0 gr. 2.5 dwt.
