An exquisite late Georgian or early Victorian garnet and 14 karat yellow gold necklace. The garnets are gold-backed giving them a lovely iridescent shimmer. This necklace is set with four bezel-set, oval cabochon garnets (22.44carats: MI clarity: Deep purplish Red colour: 12.7x9.9x4.5.-12.8x9.5x4.5mm). Furthermore, it is set with four bezel-set, round cabochon garnets (16.22 carats: MI clarity: Deep Purplish Red) While everything about this necklace looks Georgian, the clasp could date the necklace later.
