Exquisite Art Nouveau 18k gold mermaid pendant. The mermaid is holding a European cut diamond measuring .15 points. The diamond is H color VS-2 clarity. There are 29 old rose cut diamonds further accentuating the high relief sculptured mermaid pendant. The mermaid is nude in the water holding the diamond at her midsection. There is a shell and stylized waves covering the area below her waist. She has long flowing hair and is beautifully sculptured. The top of the pendant is incised with an old 18k stamp. The back of the pendant has an unusual floral and scroll design with rays emanating to the ends of the back. This is an exquisite design. It is a period Art Nouveau piece in excellent condition. It measures more than 1-1/2 inches from the top ring to the bottom of the pendant. From side to side it measures 1-1/8 inches. Weight 17.7 grams.
