Beautiful antique Art Nouveau FIX pin with pearls and a ruby. FIX is a French term for heavily gold applied jewelry items. FIX pieces were made during the Art Nouveau and Art Deco Era from 1890-1920. The reason they marked the pieces FIX is because the gold was so heavily applied that unscrupulous individuals were selling these pieces as solid gold. The center pearl dangles back and forth when you where the pin. It has a beautiful design and is in very good condition. From top to bottom it measures 30mm, width 26mm. Weight 2.5 grams.
