18ct gold antique ring, mounted with a ruby, two tiny diamonds and two tiny sapphires. Full British hallmark for Birmingham 1913, maker: D & F, for Deakin & Francis. Face of ring measures 7.5 mm by 14 mm. The ruby is approx. 2 mm diameter. The diamonds appear to be old single cut, and are about 1 mm or less in diameter. They are not open at the rear of the mount. The sapphires would be less than 1 mm each. All stones have engraved star or oval shapes around them, and are rub-over set. Shoulders are 4.5 mm tapering to a beveled band 2.5 mm wide at the rear of the finger. Ring size is English N+ (USA size 6.3/4) with an internal diameter of 17.12 mm. Excellent condition. A very sweet dainty little ring. TW 2.45g.
