Rare 18K gold artist signed miniature portrait mourning brooch pendant. The back of the brooch reads "Geo "Hen" Ormrod died June 28 1840 aged 4 years 11 months." The bottom is inscribed "Eliza Ormrod died Feb 1 1849 aged 3 years." The front of the mourning brooch is an artist signed miniature painting. The signature reads "T. Foll." There is a miniscule chip on the crystal cover along the edge at 5 o'clock. The portrait itself is in mint condition protected for more than 150 years by the crystal cover. Length from the top of the loop to the bottom of the brooch it measures 2+ inches. Widest width 1 1/2 inches. Weight 18.2 grams. Guaranteed to please as are all our items. (Item #71593)
