Beautiful original antique18k gold Art Nouveau dragonfly brooch set with 51 diamonds and 3 rubies. The ruby in the center is beautiful color with great clarity. The dragonfly has two ruby eyes. All of the old cut and rose cut diamonds making up the dragonfly's wings and tail are very nice averaging I color and VS-2 clarity. The center ruby is oval shaped and measures .20 carats. There are lots of copies of Art Nouveau dragonfly pins and brooches out there today, this is an original one in superb condition. It measures 1-1/4 inches from the top of the dragonfly antenna to the bottom of its tail. From wing tip to wing tip it measures 1-1/2 inches. Weight 5.2 grams. The diamonds on the wings and tail are platinum set. This is an exquisite antique Art Nouveau dragonfly brooch in mint condition guaranteed to please the most particular collector or connoisseur.
