Beautiful antique Art Nouveau FIX slide with pearls and a simulated rubies. FIX is a French term for heavily gold applied jewelry items. FIX pieces were made during the Art Nouveau and Art Deco Era from 1890-1920. The reason they marked the pieces FIX is because the gold was so heavily applied that unscrupulous individuals were selling these pieces as solid gold. This is a lovely Art Nouveau design. The back is a slide where one could put a kerchief through or one could put a chain through the center and wear it as a pendant. It measures 27mm wide by 27.5mm high. Weight 4.4 grams. Excellent condition guaranteed to please as are all our items. (Item #71905)
