Amber lump mounted in a pretty filigree frame of gilded silver. Intricate pattern to the filigree of the mount and bale. Stamped on the rear of the bale "silver". The amber has inclusions, possibly an insect. Measures 35.5 mm by 25.5 mm not including the filigree bale (1.3/8 inches by 1 inch). Rear has a little flattening to the mount (very, very minor), but overall in excellent condition. Probably late Victorian - late 1800s.
