The ‘crown’ of this pin has a wide body tapering to the convex ornament on top, and sloping gently to the flared base. Divided in the middle by a series of small pellets, the upper portion of the body is decorated with a floral design containing six petals, with each flower separated by a vertical rope-like division. A smooth lower area provides an interesting textural contrast, though having a series of pellets encircling just above the base. Influenced by the art of mysterious Etruscans, this beautiful pin us a classic in any age in any culture. - (FJ.0331)
