Dainty antique 18ct gold ring, mounted with three small diamonds in a rub-over star setting. Face of ring measures 5.5 mm by 14 mm. The little diamonds are rose-cut/old-mine-cut. Band tapers to rear. In Edwardian and Victorian rings, the gold was often very thin, and age wear to the rear of the band occurred. This one appears to have been built up at some stage, as the gold is thicker there than at the shoulders (which is a good thing!). Ring size is English L (USA size 5.1/2) with an internal diameter of 16.10 mm. TW: 1.7g. Very good condition.
