Antique, Victorian micromosaic earrings. Made circa 1870-80. Measure just over 1 1/2 inches (40mm) long, not including the loops. Elongated diamond or kite shape. Borders are a geometric blue and white pattern. Ground is blue. The earrings depict a pair of doves nestling amongst foliage. Gilt metal forms part of the branches. The mount is silver coloured metal. As the highly enlarged ''photos show, the earrings are in very good condition with no missing tesserae.
