Antique, Victorian double heart ring. 14k yellow gold set with a large ruby and sapphire and small rose cut diamonds. Made circa 1850. Approx US size 6 1/4. Weighs 4.3grams. Ruby and Sapphire are each about 4-5mm in length. Stunning example of classic, early Victorian jewellery. A pair of intertwined hearts under a bow knot. The ring is entirely outlined with a border of rose cut diamonds, which also constitute the bow above the hearts. (probably symbolising fidelity). The centers of the hearts are set with a pair of large gems, each with beautiful, deep colour. Simple pattern on shoulders of shank. Good condition.
