Antique Victorian era brooch made of gold, enamelled and set with pearls. Circa 1880-1900. Most likely made in the USA. Measures approx 7/8 inches accross. Only the Victorians were capable of such delicacy. Sprigs of blue forget-me-nots curl over the circle formed by the open textured gold, crescent moon. The gold is further enhanced by exquisite enamelled pale blue flowers of the same variety, enclosed in tiny gold walls. Two of the flowers have tiny pearls in their center; one has a little gold granule. The original pin has been resoldered on one side, at the back where it is totally unnoticeable.
