Antique, Victorian bangle bracelet in 14k gold with diamond and ruby snakes. Made circa 1850-1880. 2 1/2 inches accross from hing to clasp when measured from the outside. 2 1/4 inches accross when measured from the inside. Will fit an average sized wrist comfortably (about 7 inches). Weighs 6.4 grams. Plain gold band with a pair of snakes twining around the band from hing to clasp, and over and about each other. One snake is set with rubies and the other with diamonds. Another diamond is set in the gap in the middle between the two snake heads and both have diamond eyes. Bangle has a safety chain as well as a safety clasp, indicating the high quality. There is a small solering mark above the hinge, mentioned for the sake of accuracy, but otherwise very good condition.
