Antique, Victorian coral earrings set in 17k gold. Made circa 1850-1870. Total length is about 33mm 1 5/16 inches. Earrings are attached to posts, which might be replacements (as in most Victorian jewellery, the original fitting would be replaced). The top part that sits on the earlobe is an oval, cabochon coral, centered by a gold granule bead and surrounded by small coral beads, forming a flower shape. 3 drops are suspended from the top. All the coral is a lovely deep orange and uniform colour. Gold is not hallmarked, but tested electronically as 17carat. Good condition. GOld tested on Tri Electronics gold tester - GXL 24 PRO.
