Antique, Victorian 14carat gold and cabochon turquoise bracelet. Made 1850-1880. Measures approx. Over 7-1/4 inches long x approx 3/4 inches wide. Weighs a whopping 73 grams. Constructed with fine gold mesh links with flower-moulded tops, that allows for total flexibility. THe links are bordered on either side by rectangular links shaped like roof-tiles. The top is in the form of a buckle, set with lovely cabochon turquoise gems. The edge has an attached inverted bell shaped charm, bordered with the same turquoise cabochons and with a rich fringe of gold tassles, ending in golden beads. Workmanship is very fine. The overall effect is lavish beauty. The bracelet closes with a wide-tongued clasp in addition to a security chain. TOngue and some loops of chains are hallmarked. Hallmarks are not entirely legible. Bracelet tests at least 14k. Condition: close inspection and magnified ''photos show slight darkness, indicative of previous restoration towards the tip of the ''buckle''. This will not detract from your enjoyment of an otherwise fabulous bracelet.
