Antique Victorian Neo Classical / Etruscan Revival earrings. 19th century. Measure approx 3/4 inch in diameter. Weigh approx 7grams. Round earrings with tiny patterned borders. A ring of black enamel and gold with concave circles, each with a little raised flower. Two wavy, raised wall enclose a ring of seed pearls and inside that is a circle enclosing a raised badge with black enamel. It would be possible to engrave initials on the raised badge, but it has been left empty. Finest quality workmanship and minute detail. There are no hallmarks on the earrings, but I tested them and they test for at least 18carat gold. The loops with little globes from which they hang are possibly later as they are only 14carat (although the Victorians were known to mix different calibres of gold). Very good condition - no damage and enamel is in excellent shape with no wear.
