Beautiful mint condition antique lady's Art Nouveau hunting case gold filled pendant watch. The movement reads NEW YORK STANDARD WATCH CO USA SAFETY PINION serial number 519441. The back of the outer watch case has the inscribed serial number 2315380. Above that a balance scale and a crown. The inside of the dust cover has matching serial number. The watch has recently been cleaned and serviced by our expert watch maker. The watch runs strong and keeps perfect time. What is really very unusual and beautiful about this watch is the watch face. It has a light pastel yellow face with each number in a gold circle with a gold diamond marker in-between each number, it also has a subsidiary second hand. This is a lever set watch allowing you to set the time by pulling out the lever with your thumbnail that is located along the edge of the face of the watch between 4 and 5. Once you pull the lever out it puts the watch in the time set position. Once the lever is pulled out with your thumbnail you can set the watch by turning the winding crown at the top. Once the time is set, you gently push the lever back in, returning it to the wind position. Please be sure to push the lever back in after you have set the time. You cannot wind the watch with the lever set out. Once the lever is in you just wind the watch back and forth the way you would wind any other mechanical watch. The outside case is gold filled and has a beautiful hand engraved hand chased design on both sides. One side has some houses, flowers, and a foliate design. The other side has an interesting foliate design and a cartouche where one may engrave their name or initials. Weight 58 grams. From the bottom of the watch to the top of the watch ring it measures 2-3/8 inches. From side to side across the top it measures 1-1/2 inches.
