Harper's Weekly Cover, September 29, 1866. Black; cream. Paper. This original engraved cover is marked, "Harpers Weekly, Vol. X.--No. 509, New York Saturday, September 20, 1866." It has a small portrait of Adelaide Ristori, photographed by Brady and initialed, "WSIJ." The main engraving is titled, "Scene after the Disaster On The New York Central Railroad, September 7, 1866.--Sketched by A. Parker." It shows the wrecked cars and engine, and is initialed, "JS."
