This is a striking red and black dress by Margo Walters from the late 1940s. The fabric is a heavyweight black faille, contrasted by the red taffeta scarf attached to the neckline. The scarf may be worn a couple ways; spread out to imitate lapels, or crossed and pulled through eyelets to form little fans. The bodice is collarless and the 3/4 kimono sleeves have turn-back cuffs. The skirt is pleated for fullness. The dress is unlined and fastens with covered buttons along the front. Shown with a belt that is not included.
In excellent condition, no flaws.
