For Sale I have a lovely Vintage Hat Box Purse made with Black Glass Jet Beads. The purse measures 6" high and is 5 1/2" in diameter. These measurements are with the lid on and the outside diameter of the lid. The inside measurement of the purse is 4 3/4" wide 5 3/16" deep. The strap has a drop of about 6" to the top of the lid and is between 1 1/8" to 1 1/4" wide . The purse is hardsided as the Base material of this was made with cardboard. It was then covered with the Glass Beads sewn together and has a ruffle exterior to the Base of the Purse. The interior is lined with Black Satin and a Black Braided Trim on the interior of the Lid. There is an applied Glass Beaded Flower sewn to the lid to finish this stylish Handbag. The strap or handle is also done with the Glass beads and is attached securely on both sides. It is a very supple strap and has total fluid movement to it so it does not feel stiff from too tight of a stitch. The Purse is considered to be in Excellent Condition as there are no missing beads, no loose stitches or odors to report. A large quantitiy of these type of beades purses were made by Dubonnette, K & G, and the Fre-Mor Company. Every woman could use this as a fashion accessory that will get noticed every time. This purse was made Circa 1940's.
