This is a German paper chromolithograph fan from 1908 that was custom framed by California artist Venetia Thompson for me in the 1990 s. We have used all vintage materials in the mat and trim. Materials include purple silk, green silk velvet,lavender silk lingerie flower and gold bullion trimmed ribbons. The frame which is golden wood was new at the time of framing and shaped in the form of a fan shadowbox.. The piece is in very good condition and will be coming from my house to yours. It was never merchandise in my store. The fan case measures 18'' higby 27'' wide. One paper portion is slightly lifted, noticed by only a trained eye. This is a lovely French handpainted silk lingerie holder that has been custom framed to create a work of art. The gold metal frame measures 18'' high by 15'' wide. This includes a 4'' border of vintage printed French ribbon with a rose pattern. There is a vintage gold braided filet. The piece was put together by Venetia Thompson for Nightingale Antiques in 1990. It was a display piece in my now closed antiques store. I just love the charming little birds and dogwood flowers in the painting which is in very good condition. An Early British Sailor''s Woolwork Picture of the Royal Yacht, HMY Victoria and Albert II, Circa 1855-70 Dimensions: 27 inches x 20 inches HMY Victoria and Albert II (From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia) HMY Victoria and Albert, a 360 foot steamer launched 16 January 1855, was a Royal Yacht of the Sovereign of the United Kingdom until 1900, owned and operated by the Royal Navy. She displaced 2,470 tons, and could make 15 knots on her paddles. There were 240 crew. Victoria and Albert II was scrapped in about 1904. The El Horria was built to the same specifications for Isma''il Pasha, the Khedive of Egypt in 1865 and is the oldest steamship afloat. Truly a Gorgeous piece of Fabulous Art Work from the 1700's. Also not to mention the Fabulous Antique Maple Frame that this piece of art is in. Quite a unusual and fabulous masterpiece. Subject and painting and frame are all Absolutely Magnificent. Great Condition. A very fine tear to the linen on the top left hand side which is not in the art work at all.
