Carried in the coronation processional of Tsar Alexander III and Empress Maria Fydorovna of Russia, 22 May 1882, this banner can be seen in the ceremonial portrait by Georges Becker. The banner is in silk tapestry of the finest workmanship and measures approximately four feet square. It is framed in gold and black lacquer under plastic. It has not been removed from its setting in some time and probably should receive conservation treatment.
