Victorian, circa 1860 Miniature Circa 1860 Alphabet & Roman Numerals Sampler. Unframed. The sampler is worked in silk on canvas ground, in cross stitch throughout. Simple line border. Colour is black throughout. Alphabets A-Z in upper case and lower case, and Roman numerals. No signature or date. Single cross motif. Very Good. No holes. A couple of stain specks and a stain line to the centre. Uniform age darkening of the ground. No stitch losses. Colour is good and strong with no noticeable fading. No colour run. 4ins by 4.75ins wide
