For sale is an early sampler, dated 1833 and signed by Annette? Maria Richards. The first name is difficult to read, but the last two are definete. The sampler features five rows of alpha and numeric characters on top, with a house and floral arrangements on the bottom. The middle has nothing, likely unfinished. The entire piece measures 19"x 17 1/2". There is a little discoloration and minor rolling of the fabric, but no major damage and good overall condition. A simple ordinary frame. There is cardboard over the back.
