William IV, dated 1833 1833 Adam & Eve Sampler by Jane Mourad??. Unframed. The sampler is worked in wool on linen ground, in cross stitch throughout. Meandering strawberry border. Colours red, cream, yellow, green, copper, purple, orange, pink and blue. Signed and dated ''Jane Mourad?? ?g?d of 9 ?ears 1833''. A good set of motifs, including lions, dogs, bird, flowers, potted flowering plants, trees, laden with fruit, stags, fruit baskets with cherubs above, strawberries and Adam & Eve standing either side of the tree of life with a snake coiled around its trunk. Generally good. A number of holes. A few patchy stains, and uniform age darkening of the ground. Stitch losses to the border, signature and motifs. Colours are all good and strong with no noticeable fading. No colour run. 15ins by 16ins wide
