George III, dated 1807 1807 Silkwork Sampler by Ellen Hall. Unframed. The sampler is worked in silk on linen ground, in cross stitch and Algerian eye. Zig zag border. Colours dark green, light green and black. Alphabets A-Z in upper case and lower case and numbers 1-20. Signed and dated ''Ellen Hall. Oct.b 14.1807''. Single diamond motif. Good. No holes. One light stain. Very minor stitch loss to the border, one divider line, motif and letters/numbers. Colours are all good and strong with no noticeable fading. Slight colour run around the dark green threads. 11ins by 11.5ins wide
