A beautiful heavyweight ice bucket (also suitable for other uses) by the prestigious San Francisco silversmiths, Shreve & Co. It is in simple flattened globe form with an ogee base, the only decoration being banding near the edge and foot and fine strapped handles. The engraved initials are "J.O.M." (J.Ogden Mills, San Francisco social figure) in the style of the handles. Superb condition. Approximately 6-1/2 inches by 7-1/2 inches. Circa 1930.
