Here is a very old silver amulet, originating in the 19th century, Near East. Measures 2 3/8'' wide & almost 3'' long. The amulet especially made by a holy person in order to protect the wearer. It has two rings at the top so it can be worn as a pendant. The surface is decorated with inscribed writings and other decorative elements. The back is plain, but someone has scratched the Hebrew letters aleph and bet on it. Condition: very good although the edges are of course somewhat worn/softened with use and age.
