Beautiful antique hand chased with silvered gilt flowers French silver and gold box. The box has a French hallmark within a diamond border incised on the inside top of the box. On the bottom it has the Minerva mark indicating 19th century French silver. The gold interior is really beautiful. Most of the time when these boxes were made they didn’t use that much gold. They used a lot of gold on the interior of this box. It is numbered 548 on the interior lip and is also marked with the Minerva head. This is an extraordinary box in superb condition. It measures 3 inches long, 1-1/8 inches wide, and 1-1/4 inches high. Weight 69.1 grams. The box is in superb mint condition as if it has been in a time capsule for 150 years and just opened.
