Austrian 935 silver compote with pierced rose design c1830 to 1850. This piece of Austrian silver was made by hand. The fine pierce cut silver design depicts roses, vines and leaves. The bottom section was made separately and is held by small hand made silver nuts. This spectacular piece was made by a master silversmith. Hallmarked 13 on base. Weighs 383 grams. There are a few old silver solder repairs on the back, to be expected on a period piece with such open delicate design. Overall 13.5 W x 9.25 D x 3.5 H. The engraved name is Celia.
