1900'S Sterling Silver Repousse Schofield Baltimore Rose Huge Rare Bread Tray. This is one of three well known Baltimore Silversmiths, the others being kirk and stieff in the Early 20TH. Century that gave Baltimore the reputation of the City of Very Fine Silver. All three of these companies made this wonderful rose repouse pattern in sterling silver flatware and serving pieces such a Tea Sets, Bowls, Trays, wine tankards, etc. This bread tray is one of two Schofield Bread Trays that just recently came out of Baltimore Estates. Fresh to the Market, this bread tray, which is larger than the other one has a wonderful Deep Repousse Pattern of roses that goes all the way around the sides of this serving piece. It has a plain inside sterling bottoms of the dish with a S H R as a monogram. It measures 15 1/2" X 9" And is over 1 1/2" in depth. The underside has the Schofield Mark on one end and a #1484 on the other end.
