Scarce Irish sterling silver George III era sugar basket, Dublin, 1799, by silversmith Randall Cashell.A fluted oval basket supported on a high pedestal base, adorned with crisp bands of pricked and bright-cut decoration, and having a reeded swing handle.On the underside of the base is a full set of legible hallmarks for Dublin, 1799, and with the maker's stamp RC.Size: 6.75" length x 4.25" depth x 8.75" ht.Excellent condition and free of repairs.
