A very nice piece of sterling silver sugar tongs. When it was tea time small squares of sugar were in the sugar bowl and the sugar prongs were used to distribute the sugar to the cup. This would eliminate the sugar sprinkles from the tea spoons on the table clothes and make for a prettier tea time.
