Pretty sterling silver Victorian bowl, quite deep, standing on four well-detailed pad feet. It has an ornate scrolled rim. Maker is William Wise & Son (New York, USA). Stamped Sterling, with lion mark and pattern number. Made circa 1882-1903. It measures 7.5 cm high, 16 cm wide and 13 cm deep (3 inches by 6.1/4 inches by 5.1/8 inches). Initials engraved in script on one side underneath the rim "E.P.A." (could be E.J.A.). Condition is very good - a few little marks inside the bottom of the bowl from use, and one foot could possibly do with a slight bending to give it a more even stance (a very easy job for a silversmith). Weight is 195 grams.
