Lovely little Victorian English bon-bon dish, hallmarked for Birmingham, 1898. Maker's mark is W.D., being probably either William Deakin or William Devenport.
Dish measures 2 cm high by 9 cm diameter. The pattern is an ornate flower head internally with petals of both plain and embossed flowers. Cut work pattern to sides. There is a fault, being a tear on the lip of the rim, extending down the side about 1.3 cm, repairable by a silversmith. We have priced accordingly. Otherwise, a lovely little dish and typical of the period.
