Sterling silver Edwardian ring stand, lyre shape on a circular base. Base covered in dark mauve velvet, although now mostly all nap has worn off. This would have been used as a pin cushion for hat pins, and the silver top has a circle in which the pins would have been placed to keep them upright. The rings would have hung on the "horns" of the lyre. Hallmarks on the base are for makers Adie Lovekin, Birmingham, 1909. Item measures 7.5 cm high (3 inches). Base is 4.25 cm diameter (1.3/4 inches). Very good original condition.
