A rare unique handwrought sterling silver tray with 2 1/2" repousse border with rope molding . 12" diameter. The high embossing creates the attractive depth of the design. I have also included pictures of the underside where the silversmith hammered to raise the design. The piece is footed, about 5/8" with a reeded band, thus forming a tray that does not set flat on the table, but is raised about 5/8" The center with a triple monogram was not made flat but has a slight curve. A glamorous piece with the center is covered with hors d'oeuvres. Marked S. Kirk & Son Co 925/1000 and 194, pattern number c. 1903-1907. Pictures 2 and 4 are the underside . No dents. Slight ripple in center. 20 Troy Oz.
