Pair of fiddle pattern mustard or salt spoons, sterling silver and hallmarked for Exeter, 1825. Maker is George Turner. Exeter is a rare mark, as the assay office there closed in 1882. Spoons are each 10.2 cm long. Bowls are 2.8 cm wide. One spoon has a small dents in the bowl, other is perfect. (Dents like this can be straightened easily by a silversmith if they worry you). Some little salts marks to rear of one spoon, would clean off. Condition is very good, just normal scuffing and wear. TSW: 20.04g.
