Georgian period fruit knife with sterling silver folding blade decorated with pretty engraved edge. Handle is mother of pearl, engraved with starbursts and foliage. Hallmark is incomplete - sterling silver lion, George IV, and a rubbed mark - possibly a crowned lion. Maker's initials are SK - can't trace this, but mark could be Newcastle. Knife measures 70 mm long closed and 127 mm long open. It is 16 mm wide. (2.3/4 inches and 5 inches, 1 inch wide). Excellent condition.
