I just love these antique French figural silver pieces! This charming coffee pot and cream share the graceful elegant lines and Empire decoration. The pot has a pomegranate finial. There are two stiff leaf and berry edges, on the lid and the neck of the pot. the spout has a lion's head tip and the base beautifully engraved with a foliate motif. The long legs attached with hand chased foliate cartouches and tipped with lion's paws. The cream matches in all respects save the lion's head. Both have ebony handles mounted with floral accents. Simply divine set! The master silver smith is Adolphe Boulenger, active in Paris 1876-1899. A craftsman noted for the finest quality!
Condition is good to very good. There are no flaws to note with the pot. The vream has a very shallow depression at the neck. As you can see from the phots, this is difficult to detect. But it's there. Else usual light signs of use. Please see photos for dimensions and marks. Both pieces are fully hallmarked and guaranteed to be .950/1000 sterling.
