The decoration on this serving piece is simply magnificent! A lush repousse floral and foliate decoration on the lid and base of the tureen, a formed edge carries forward this theme, and an absolutely sensation artichoke finial crowns the cover. The textured handles merge the rocaille and foliate elements in the decoration. There is a cartouche on the cover that is without a monogram! Condition is very good to excellent. The piece is fully hallmarked with the silver standard for 950/1000 parts silver, the Minerve 1st tire, and the maker's mark for Emile Delaire.
