Truly incredible artistry evident with this sterling silver sauce boat and accompanying stand. The boat is patterned with a rich floral and foliate decoration that photography defies adequate depiction. There are cartouches on both sides, rimmed with rocaille, and no monograms! The edges both of the boat and the stand carry out the foliate and floral motifs. A very rare pattern and one of four service pieces I am offering, two of the sauce boats and two lidded serving dishes.
