Beautiful sterling silver gravy ladle by the Whiting Manufacturing Company of New York NY. The pattern is called Imperial Queen and is approximately 7 1/2" long. The bowl measures 2 7/8" x 2". It weighs approximately 3 troy ounces. Marks include the logo for the Whiting Manufacturing Company, STERLING, PAT. 1893, MERMOD(with the rest of the word or words undistinguishable. The Whiting Manufacturing Company of New York NY was in business between 1866 and 1926. They were a major manufacturer of fine quality flatware and holloware. The company was absorbed into the Gorham Company in 1926. Very good condition.
